Xu has an M.A. in teaching Chinese as a foreign language from Beijing Normal University. From 2007 to 2011, she was a Chinese lecturer at Princeton University. She served as the Beijing language director before becoming Shanghai language director for the Alliance of Global Education. She has extensive experience in clearly defining and maintaining superior language instruction and working closely with students.
