Research Assistant Professor in Medical Physics, Duke Kunshan University
Dr. Xiaoyu Duan is a Research Assistant Professor of Medical Physics at Duke Kunshan University (DKU). She received her Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering (Medical Physics Track) from the Stony Brook University, M.S. in Medical Physics from Duke University, and B.S. in Physics from Nanjing University.
Her research focuses on advanced imaging techniques to improve breast cancer screening and diagnosis, which includes Monte Carlo simulations, virtual clinical trials, deep learning models, machine learning models, and novel detector designs. These efforts aim to optimize imaging systems, enhance image quality, improve diagnostic accuracy, and foster the development of cutting-edge screening protocols.
