Dr. Jianbo Yue is a Professor of Biology at Duke Kunshan University and concurrently serves as an adjunct doctoral supervisor at Wuhan University and Westlake University. Since joining DKU in 2022, he has taught Integrated Biology (BIOL110), Experimental Methods in Functional Genomics (BIOL403), and Fundamental Immunology (BIOL409).
His research focuses on tumor metastasis, anticancer immunity, virus–host interactions, endosomal trafficking, autophagy, reactive oxygen species (ROS), and calcium signaling. His team has developed a high-content imaging platform for drug screening and identified multiple modulators of autophagy and endosomal transport, validated in cellular and animal models. He is also the founder of 6J Biotechnology, which develops anti-metastatic and antiviral therapeutics.
He received his B.S. in Biochemistry from Sichuan University, his M.S. in Genetics from Peking University, and his Ph.D. in Pharmacology from Pennsylvania State University. He completed postdoctoral training at Stanford University and subsequently established independent research laboratories at The University of Hong Kong and later at City University of Hong Kong before joining DKU.
