Associate Professor of Physics, Duke Kunshan University
His research focuses on uncovering novel quantum phenomena and designing controlled quantum systems based on atomic, optical, and solid-state devices, with the goal of enabling next-generation quantum technologies such as quantum computing and quantum sensing. He has had papers published in leading academic journals including Physical Review Letters and other Physical Review series.
Hwang has a B.Sc. and a Ph.D in physics from Pohang University of Science and Technology, South Korea. Before joining Duke Kunshan, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Theoretical Physics at Ulm University, Germany.
