Her core research agenda centers on understanding how social policies can address labor market inequality and how they can be provided. As a member of the University of Texas Inequality Project (UTIP), she also studies the measurement and movement of global income inequality as well as its political implications. Her teaching fields include policy analysis, U.S. and international social policy, income inequality, and program evaluation.
Choi has a B.A. in economics from the University of Chicago and a Ph.D. in public policy from the University of Texas, Austin.
