David Krygier

Senior Lecturer of English for Academic Purposes, Duke Kunshan University


His research focuses on learner autonomy, with a particular interest in how course content and assessment can be adapted to address the evolving demands of modern higher education. At Duke Kunshan, his teaching interest include microlearning and the phenomenon of knowledge decay between semesters.

He is the author of two book chapters, “Microlearning: A Case Study of a Sino-Foreign University” (Palgrave Macmillan, 2022), “Knowledge Decay in Higher Education” (Cambridge Scholars, 2020), and has had papers published in academic journals, such as “Patterns of Practice”.

David has an M.A. in TESOL from the University of Leeds, a Cambridge University DELTA and is a Senior Fellow of Higher Education Academy. Before joining Duke Kunshan, he was a Lecturer of Academic English Skills at Liverpool John Moores University, Qatar.
