邹东勉

His primary research is in the intersection among applied harmonic analysis, machine learning and signal processing. He is especially interested in robust representations and structures in geometric and graph deep learning.

朱倩

Her research focuses on modern Chinese history and China's current global challenges. Her first project is a comparative and transnational inquiry of intellectual and cultural history focused on Chinese leftism and anti-colonialism in Southeast Asia from 1938 to 1948. She has a second project on feminism and everyday life in post-socialist China, which focuses on feminism in entrepreneurship, reproductive labor, and social welfare.

朱昉晟

Fangsheng Zhu is a sociologist and studies education, particularly the interactions between families, education providers and governments. His research topics include parenting, school admissions and education policies. His teaching interests at Duke Kunshan include public policy, methods and education. Zhu holds a bachelor's degree from Zhejiang University, a master's degree from the University of Chicago and a Ph.D. from Harvard University.

周夏昀

She has taught Chinese at multiple levels and offers coaching to develop students'independent language learning skills. She has taught Chinese in the American Council Language Program, and in the Alliance-Fudan spring and fall programs in 2012. In 2013, she served as a Mandarin language teacher at Meadowbank School, New Zealand, through the Confucius Institute. Zhou has an M.A. in teaching Chinese as a second language from Fudan University.

周雯

Wen Zhou is an assistant professor of evolutionary anthropology. She aims to understand what it means to be a human and is interested in the moral status ascribed to the species. Her current projects focus on dehumanization and its developmental origins. Her work also involves research on social hierarchy, human-animal relations and conservation, deploying an approach drawn from social and developmental psychology. Zhou joined the faculty of Duke Kunshan University in 2022 after obtaining her Ph.D. in evolutionary anthropology from Duke University.

郑昌成

His research focuses on experimental condense matter physics: optical properties of semiconductors and nanostructures, exciton dynamics in bulk and low-dimensional systems under different excitation conditions, and nonlinear optical properties of novel luminescent/fluorescent materials. His teaching interests at Duke Kunshan include courses on experimental physics research. Zheng has a B.Sc. in physics from the University of Science and Technology of China and a Ph.D. from the University of Hong Kong, where he also worked as a research assistant/associate.

张益丽

Her research interests are in teaching Chinese for specific purposes and second language acquisition. Since 2012, she has taught Chinese at all levels, including business Chinese and a Chinese debate course. Zhang has an M.A. in teaching Chinese as a foreign language from Fudan University and an M.A. in teaching Chinese at college level from Brandeis University. She is also a certified Oral Proficiency Interview tester. Previously, she taught at Brigham Young University.

张欣

Her work specializes in second language acquisition, language pedagogy, and intercultural communication manifested in language teaching, program building and teacher training. She is writing a book, "A Pedagogy of Target Culture Expectation," and co-editing a volume forthcoming from Routledge, "Third Space and Chinese Pedagogy: Negotiating Intentions and Expectations in Another Culture." She has directed intensive study abroad Chinese programs including the Critical Language Scholarship program, and has received several awards for her projects from the U.S.

张晓晨

His primary research interests are in regional and urban economics. His current research focuses on a wide range of topics in applied economics, such as policy evaluation and the impacts of population aging on local labor markets. Zhang has a bachelor's degree in economics from Shandong University, an M.Sc. in population, resource and environmental economics from Fudan University and a Ph.D. from Ohio State University. He has also obtained a Graduate Interdisciplinary Specialization in Demography.
